What to do with Camcorder DV Video?

Importing Video
WinDV requires no significant configuration and is a breeze to use.
You will need to import at least one clip from your DV camcorder before we can move on to the next step – but you could just import an entire tape.
- Plug the firewire cable into the camcorder and the PC
- Switch on the camcorder, place in playback mode and rewind tape to start
- Provide a base filename (eg: MyVideo), tick the checkbox and Click “capture” – the camcorder should start playing automatically. Leave it for an hour and you’ll have a folder full of AVI clips.
